There are several concepts that makes basketball a unique sport, In the article “How Rebound Works” the author Kirk Goldsberry gives an explanation and information about how rebound works. In addition, advanced tracking and data provided has helped several individuals know which NBA players are the fastest, which pass the most, how much they dribble and where. It is indicated that longer shots elicit longer rebounds. A tracking system enables one to visualize the distance effect. Long-range shots occur when players are more spread out and there are fewer potential rebounders near the basket. Rebound locations are also impacted by the direction in which an individual shoots. Rebounds also occur at random. Rebounds can greatly affect the score on a basketball game in the NBA league.
