Prompt B- On Tuesday night, Newark NJ elected Ras Baraka as Mayor. Basing your answer on candidates Baraka and Jefferies stances on crime, did Newark make the right choice? I don’t think Newark made the right decision electing Ras Baraka as Mayor. It seems like the election was based on need. However in order to win an election you must give what the people want. Baraka spoke about increasing jobs, to the public that seems alright instead of fixing the root problem that Jefferies tried to solve.

I believe that celebrities like them should have privacy, not everyone deserves to know exactly everything that goes on. Everyone look up to them, they inspire some people and they decide what people need to see, the fact that the video was linked out people started believing that Jay z & Beyonce’s marriage wasn’t good, and that they had many issues or that Beyonce’s sister Solange was jealous. People really don’t have a background to things so they make them look just like shown in the video without knowing. In the other hand, the fact that the video was out there helped someone get money out of it. Also their privacy being out there more opens people eyes more, like yea relationships are not all lovey dovey, marriages do have problems. Beyonce & Jay Z are not perfect, like this joke I saw on instagram, You guys saw in the video that supposedly Beyonce is not really “ Bonnie & Clyde” she didn’t really get into the whole argument, she ignored the whole entire thing. They don’t all get along perfectly, everyone has their issues.

On the other hand he has the right to say whatever he wants to say he has been in the nba since 1981 I believe when he first purchased the LA Clippers . Not saying he is above the rule but hes been around so long everyone knew he was a racist so why be shocked when he did what everyone knows he would do. He has the right to say whatever he wants it falls under freedom of speech. He didn’t go up to Chris paul or Deadnre Jordan and say it to them or any other African American so why should it matter . His punishment was to harsh being banned from the NBA and having to let go of his team was to much way to much.

    – Honestly , I think that what happened to these individuals was not to be shown to the world but unfortunately it did. That person recorded it & sold it to Tmz so of-course it happened. There is no sound in the video so a lot people dont really knew what was going on in the elevator. Solange thought that they were in a place of privacy but not really. Let them situate their problems and go on with their lifes.

Prompt B- On Tuesday night, Newark NJ elected Ras Baraka as Mayor. Basing your answer on candidates Baraka and Jefferies stances on crime, did Newark make the right choice? I think Newark decision was kind of good because, he would give tax credits to businesses willing to invest in high crime neighborhoods meaning there will be more jobs opportunities for people out there and they wouldn’t have to make money the hard way or live in poverty anymore. I still think Jeffries would of had been a better candidate because most people who has been in the streets and in gangs for most of their life only have that street mentality so job openings wouldn’t really change their ways. So having a zero tolerance policy is the best way.

    Prompt C:
    – This prompt brought my attention because no one knows exactly why this fight started and why Beyonce didn’t do anything about it. On monday Solange attacked Jay Z in a hotel and many hotel’s has a whole lot of cameras. I think celebrities should not have the right to privacy because thats the whole point of being a celeb being on television show other people how is it to be a celebrity you should not hide what you do behind the sence. According to this video i think these celebrity are the same as a regular human being because they fight and argue just like the non celebrities. The fact that they are singer or rappers it does not make a change in peoples rights if they want privacy they should’ve waited until they got home or into the limbo.

What happen on Monday between Solange and Jay-Z was something that shocked the world because they never expected Jay-Z & Solange would actually get into it. I think Jay-Z and Beyonce shouldn’t have privacy because they are no better than anyone else and if they wanted privacy they should have either fix the situation before they left the hotel room or dealt with the problem once they got home. Celebrities know they have no privacy but if they have problems with family they need to deal with it once they are in the privacy of their own home.

When it comes to personal family issues I believe that they do deserve their privacy. Not everything should be placed in the publics eye. Somethings do deserve to remain personal because not only do they have to worry about the image they’re portraying they have to worry about what they do that will be linked into the media.

Prompt A- Because of the racist remarks he made off the record, Los Angeles Clippers Owner Donal Sterling should be forced to sell his team.

Donald sterling should sell the Los Angeles clippers due to the racist remarks he has made . The players of the Nba no longer wanna play for him and represent the clippers orginization after he made the racist remarks that he did . Donald sterling said things like V: I don’t understand, I don’t see your views. I wasn’t raised the way you were raised.
DS: Well then, if you don’t feel—don’t come to my games. Don’t bring black people, and don’t come. V: Do you know that you have a whole team that’s black, that plays for you?
DS: You just, do I know? I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them?Do I know that I have—Who makes the game? Do I make the game, or do they make the game? Is there 30 owners, that created the league?
although donald sterling feels that way about minority he shouldnt be forced to give up his time due to the fact that the conversation was in the private of his own home . The racist remarks wasn’t intended to harm anyone and was only said out of frustration of his girlfriend hanging out with other men . Im sure that theyre other men owners in the nba that say things that they shouldnt in theyre home but they arent getting forced to sell theyre team. His personal views demonstrated to his gf/ mistress in a private conversation shouldnt determine the outcome of his ownership in the nba .

Yes, because this tape was linked I think it was wrong for the person who recorded to send to TMZ to publish because it was a family situation not something for the whole world to see personally. I don’t think they deserve the privacy just because they are celebrities I just feel as if they are regular people they did what they did the situation should’ve been just settled not published around through social media. The situation was made bigger than it already is. Then again everyone goes through stuff in their relationships so this just now shows the world that Jayz & Beyonce’s relationship or family life isnt the best not the perfect marriage is what I should say.

Racial remarks should not be said to anybody, Racism is a way to differentiate people it should never happen. The racist comments that Donald Sterling committed should had never been said that is a disgrace, Like the best players of the Clippers are African-American Chris Paul. Jamal Crawford, Deandre Jordan and half of Blake Griffin. What would happen if these four amazing basketball players just stopped playing basketball for the Clippers and demanded trades the Clippers Organization will plummet. I Donald Sterling have a perfect reason for saying what I said the only reason I said that was because I wanted my team to play till the best of my ability and to take the anger they had on me to use it on the court for they can advance to the NBA Finals and win a championship. I am not racist and never will be.

Many will say celebrity deserve to have their privacy and share normal human moments but since these celebrities spend all their time on this pedestal exposing themselves to every age group it not right to act like they are anyone. Its not the right thing to see them as others would say “ acting normal or like any other humans” in occasions like this beyonce and jay-z problem. My argument is that huge celebrities like beyonce, jay-z etc should show some type of example to others . These people are not consider the same as us for many reasons , they are also looked up to by children and young adults to show them the way of how to live their lives. By portraying these types of actions exposed on the video it does not send the right message to anyone.

I believe that Jay Z and Beyonce’s magnitude should have the right to privacy because like everyone else, we all have private family matters that are not for people to know. They are celebrities that are just normal people that need privacy.
Many people might care to disagree and think maybe it was BEST for people to see what happened in that elevator. I know it probably surprised lots of people as much as it surprised me, to see Solange react that way towards Jay Z. From the article ‘Roll Up the Partition: Solange, Beyonce, and Jay Z’s Perfectly Ordinary Need for Privacy’ , the author says that she found it kind of comforting that the Knowles-Carter union might not be as perfect as it seems on the surface, I guess a lot of people can say this. I don’t think that Jay Z, Beyonce, and Solange meant for people to see what happened or even expected it to occur. Now everyone is determined to seek what exactly happened in the elevator when it’s no ones business.

Prompt A- Because of the racist remarks he made off the record, Los Angeles Clippers Owner Donald Sterling should be forced to sell his team.

I Don’t believe Donald Sterling should have to sell his team. Even though he did say racist remarks towards Magic Johnson he shouldn’t have to sell his team. Donald Sterling should just be banned from every NBA game for the rest of his life. He should keep his team but just not be affiliated with the NBA. I think if Donald Sterling does this offense another time the NBA should take more serious matters and think on forcing Donald Sterling to sell the Clippers. Donald Sterling is a 75+ year old man and was raise where blacks were seen as less then whites. So him saying that didn’t seem that serious to him as it did to everyone else. He did the right thing by apologizing to the NBA community. Donald Sterling also said what he said in private and not out loud for everyone to hear. He has the right to say what he wants in private about anyone his gril friend was wrong for releasing the video.

Prompt C- Yes I do think that they shouldn’t have kept that private and never show that video. But that also makes good entertainment but its pointless because we really don’t know why they were fighting? and why beyonce didn’t do anything to stop it? Also the person who leaked out the video is probably fired was the video really that serious that it had to go viral and if I were that person I would really regret leaking it out because now ive lost my job for a video that nobody really understands or knows what’s going on. So yes celebrities should have privacy when they are dealing with private family problems. They probably didn’t remember or notice that there was a camera in the elevator.

Prompt B- On Tuesday night, Newark NJ elected Ras Baraka as Mayor. Basing your answer on candidates Baraka and Jefferies stances on crime, did Newark make the right choice?
Newark did not make the right choice because I don’t think barakas care about people safety and how can he controlled while jefferies had a plan to reduce the crime and reduce the death due to gang attacked in newark. in my opinion I think Jefferies plan is more organize and Baraka just wanted to win but did not had anything plan. I agreed with jefry we should add more security to Newark because a lot of people is getting hurt and that should be a concern to those who could do something to try to stop this issue. And the people think the same because some of them are scared to even come out and go shopping or spent time with the family. What i hate is when they are going to make this good and they just say that because they want to win .
In Baraka side he says he would give tax credits to businesses willing to invest in high crime neighborhoods.
“We have not attacked the causes of crime, which is poverty,” Baraka said. “Poverty, unemployment, the deterioration of families, the lack of intervention.”People voted because they think that if there more job a portunity the gang won’t exist that’s when he’s wrong people join gang specially when they drop out of school because that’s when they think they have no future and that robbing people or jumping its the only way of getting money to feed their self when they could actually work that’s where he’s plan is not coming in where he could reduce the gang attack in newark.

Although the statements that Donald Sterling were unnecessary he shouldn’t be forced to sell his team. He has done a lot for the Clippers since 1981 and I don’t believe that what he said was right or fair to Magic Johnson he should still should be able to keep his team. But at the same time all the players alright have lost their respect for him and have made it clear that if he still the owner they will not play for him. Also, Coach Doc Rivers has made a statement that he will not coach a Donald Sterling team.

I would rather Jeffries way of doing things. I prefer this way because if you try to put people in high risk neighborhoods then you are putting their life in danger. I would rather have the zero tolerance rule. Its the best way to settle the problem , going at it from the root. Jeffries mom unfortunately passed from Gun violence so we know he is serious about getting the people off the street.
Baraka was elected as Mayor in Newark, NJ. I don’t agree with the decision because Baraka is putting people at risk. I understand that he’s trying to get people more jobs because he realized that when people have nothing to do they get together with their friends and they end up doing dumb things. The bad part is that he wants to put people in those high risk neighborhoods which is putting their lives at risk. He rewards them with a credit but a credit is not worth your life (if the people stays doing the bad things).

I think JayZ and Beyonce is entitled to their privacy. Just because you are a celebrity your whole life shouldn’t be for show. You should be able to have private moments with your significant other and your family. People should only know what they want you to know or what they are famous for, not what’s behind the scenes or something that you can judge them for. If they don’t want you to know then you shouldn’t know, they are humans just like us. The difference is more people know them and they do things that people like or dislike ( also they have more money than other. )
On the other hand people think that Celebrities should always be in the public eye. They think that because they are a celebrity they should know everything about them good and bad.
